Perhaps you've heard about a continuum of care. Ideally, a continuum would mean that as some one's needs change, the providers program that services him/her changes accordingly. ASA Inc. is the perfect choice in your continuum of care program. That's because our emergency alert system is fully accepted at every point in that continuum of service providers. From private pay to Medicaid, you need not change your source of supply. Unlike many competitive products, ASA Inc is the accepted choice, no matter the service provider.
Examples:
Joe lived alone and cared for himself. He had contacted ASA Inc. for a medical alarm as a private-payer. However, Joe finds that he must move to a day-care program. With a number of providers, he would have to switch his Personal Emergency Response System (PERS). But with ASA Inc, he can continue with the same system. We will simply arrange to transfer the billing.
Sue lived at a nursing home while recovering from a fall, and was provided an ASA Inc. emergency alert system through the nursing home. Upon recovery, she was able to move back home and receive routine visits from the Visiting Nurses. With many providers, she would have had to switch her emergency alert system. But with ASA Inc, she can continue with the same service. We simply arrange to transfer billing to the new provider.

The ASA Advantage
At ASA we have many advantages that separates us from our competition. Our unrivaled level of service and our highly experienced staff allows us to handle all situations that could potentially arise for around the same cost as our non-service competitors. When signing up with ASA you instantly become part of our family-- not just another number. We always ensure that a live Customer Care representative is available to answer calls 24 hours a day and can assist you with any problem--no automated answering service ever!
Also, ASA feels that there are too many obstacles that prevent a "plug and play" approach for properly installing and maintaining our equipment and services. Some of the reasons ASA prefers to have in-home technicians are: to install the system properly, provide appropriate customer training, make adaptations to cope with diverse and substandard phone services, identify substandard phone equipment and wiring, identify difficult living conditions which may have an impact on service, adapt equipment and provide accessories to overcome the physical limitations of our customers, and ensure proper equipment placement in the home.
In conjunction with our family of experienced technicians we have the support of our local UL Certified emergency monitoring center. Our Life Safety Operators are able to answer calls 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Along with alerting the EMS, fire, and police departments our operators can notify family members, friends, neighbors, care managers, nurses, doctors, and any one else you feel should be notified in the event of an emergency via a telephone call, e-mail, text message, page, fax, etc. Our operators also initiate a monthly test to ensure that your system and its components are working to the exacting standards that ASA considers most important. Also, our Life Safety Operators can answer calls in number of different languages which will ensure that all of our customers receive the personal attention that they deserve. Another feature that differentiates our monitoring center from the rest of our competitors is the ability for family members and care givers to access their loved ones' account activity reports through our secure online connection.
Not only does ASA offer a clear advantage in service, but it also offers cost benefits that may not be as easily recognized. ASA eliminates all costs for equipment and repairs. Our competitors charge their customers to mail them their systems, and usually require the commitment of an expensive long term contract. Their extra charges can be extensive including equipment adaptations, lost pendants, and telephone jacks to name a few. They even have an extra charge to pick up or mail back the system when the service has ended! Want to see some customers that have benefited from the ASA Advantage! Please view our testimonials!
Gathering Information
Automated Security Alert Inc. (ASA) knows the importance of confidentiality in securing the privacy of our family of subscribers. We employ only the most secure means of collecting and maintaining personal information. To accomplish this ASA only requests the basic information necessary to administer and install a Personal Emergency Response System (PERS). This information includes the premises address, phone numbers of family and friends that may want or need to be on the notification list, medical conditions, the location of medications in the home so the paramedics may review them, local hospital preference, and doctors information. This enables our Life Safety Operators to contact the appropriate help in the event of an emergency no matter what the situation.
All the equipment installed by ASA is maintained by it's highly trained technicians. Since the equipment is owned by ASA there are no charges for repairs or service calls as long as the equipment is in customer's home. In addition ASA has a testing program to ensure that each Personal Emergency Response System (PERS) and Medication Dispenser is working properly.
Extended Service Area
What happens if you are located outside of our full service area? You need not worry because ASA's services have been requested outside of our full service area, where we offer a complete self-installation program supported by our 24 hour live Customer Care representatives anywhere in the United States. Through thousands of satisfied customers ASA's expanding reputation for superior service has necessitated the continuous expansion of our full service area. But, before any equipment leaves our Company we do an evaluation by phone to determine whether a remote installation is possible. Only when the determination has been made that potential subscriber meets the criteria for self installation is the intake process begun. The equipment is shipped free of charge and includes everything needed to successfully install the medical alarm. Live service technicians are available by phone free of charge to support the installation and any service issues that may arise. In addition, written instructions are included along with an online support video. The system is of course supported by our local UL Certified 24 hour emergency monitoring station.
Installation Process
Upon completion, our highly experienced Customer Care team will discuss service options and set an appointment for installation.
Subscriber Education
At the installation the new subscriber is trained in the use of the equipment and it's operation. Since every person is unique our technicians ensure that each client understands the operation of his/her equipment. As added insurance, written instructions are provided to the new subscriber.
Installing the Equipment
ASA has over 20 years of in-home experience installing and maintaining Personal Emergency Response (PERS). Our technicians strive for perfection when locating and installing the equipment in the homes of our subscribers. After the installation of the PERS is complete live tests are conducted from various locations throughout the home so the customer can see what actually happens in the event of an emergency.
